Penn State Abington is searching for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in English to teach upper- and lower-level writing courses, including first-year writing and a range of creative writing courses, as well as literature as needed. Our preference is for a nonfiction writer familiar with teaching writing in digital media, but fiction writers will be seriously considered. Our growing writing program includes composition at various levels, Writing Across the Curriculum, a Writing Minor that serves students in various majors interested in developing their writing skills, and a Business and Technical Writing Certificate. The college supports the annual publication of a student literary and arts magazine, The Abington Review. Teaching load is 3/3, with ongoing publications and service to the college, profession, and/or community expected. Qualifications: MFA or PhD in Creative Writing or related field, publications in national outlets, and successful college teaching experience.
