This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of environmental research, contributing to a critical issue with global implications. You will participate in cutting-edge research projects, collaborate with interdisciplinary experts, and gain valuable experience in publishing scientific findings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct research on the modeling of plastic transport and accumulation in estuaries, using numerical models, statistical analysis, and other relevant techniques.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and refine models to predict the fate and impact of plastics on estuarine ecosystems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyze and interpret data from field and laboratory studies related to estuarine plastics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare and publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present them at conferences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to grant proposals and funding applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and students across disciplines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in outreach and education activities related to plastic pollution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Ph.D. in Oceanography, Environmental Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field with a strong focus on modeling and\/or coastal processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expertise in numerical modeling, data analysis, and scientific computing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with estuarine and coastal systems is highly desirable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals and present research findings effectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Passion for environmental research and addressing plastic pollution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are seeking a highly motivated and talented post-doctoral scholar to join our research team studying the fate and transport of plastics in estuarine environments.
